ZITADEL is an open-source identity and access management platform developed by CAOS AG, a company founded and headquartered in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It provides multi-tenant authentication and authorization infrastructure for developers building consumer, business and workforce applications.
ZITADEL offers hosted login pages, social login, multifactor authentication, passkeys, role-based access control and full gRPC and REST APIs, and is OpenID-certified, ISO 27001-certified and GDPR-compliant. Available as both a managed cloud service and self-hosted open source, with a Swiss EFTA headquarters, ZITADEL is a strong European alternative to Auth0 and Okta.
