Qwant is a French search engine that does not track its users or sell personal data. It maintains its own European search index and is a privacy-respecting alternative to Google Search.

Qwant was founded in Paris, France, and is one of the few search engines investing in its own European index. It does not track users, does not store search histories tied to individuals and shows the same results to everyone.

Qwant offers web, news, image and map search, with the Qwant Maps service built on OpenStreetMap as an alternative to Google Maps.
