Mailo
A long-running French webmail service offering mail, calendar, contacts and file storage on servers located entirely in France.
Mailo is run by Mail Object, a company based in Saint-Maur-des-Fosses near Paris. The service traces its roots back to 1998 and stores all of its data on French infrastructure.
It provides webmail with IMAP, POP and ActiveSync sync, plus a calendar, contacts and personal cloud storage across desktop and mobile apps. As a European alternative to Gmail, Mailo keeps French and EU data-protection rules at the centre of an everyday consumer email account.
