Joplin
A free, open-source Markdown note-taking app created by a France-based developer.
Joplin is a free and open-source note-taking and to-do application created by Laurent Cozic, who is based in France, with its optional Joplin Cloud sync service hosted in France under EU privacy law. It is built for people who want full ownership of their notes across desktop, mobile and the terminal.
It stores notes in Markdown, supports notebooks, tags, attachments, web clipping and end-to-end encrypted synchronisation across many backends, and is fully open source. With EU-hosted sync and no vendor lock-in, Joplin is a transparent European alternative to Evernote and OneNote.
