Fontstand is a font discovery and rental service run by Fontstand BV, headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, and launched in 2015 by the people behind the Typotheque foundry. It brings together typefaces from many independent, largely European, type foundries in one app.
Fontstand lets designers try any font free for an hour, rent fonts monthly at a fraction of the purchase price, and own a font outright after enough months of rental, with both desktop and webfont licensing. As a Dutch company operating under EU data-protection rules, Fontstand is a European alternative to Adobe Fonts and Monotype for licensing high-quality type from independent foundries.
