Ecosia Browser
A Chromium-based browser from the German non-profit search company Ecosia, which uses its profits to fund tree planting.
The Ecosia Browser is a desktop and mobile web browser from Ecosia GmbH, a search-engine company headquartered in Berlin, Germany, that operates as a non-profit-purpose business and was founded in 2009. The browser is built on the open-source Chromium project.
It bundles tracker and ad blocking, the privacy-focused Ecosia search engine and a green model in which advertising profits fund reforestation and renewable-energy projects. As a German, sustainability-focused browser it is a European alternative to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
