DNS4EU
An EU-funded public DNS resolver providing privacy-respecting, security-filtered name resolution for European users.
DNS4EU is a free public DNS resolver operated by Whalebone (Whalebone s.r.o.), a cybersecurity company headquartered in Brno, Czech Republic, and co-funded by the European Union as part of the European DNS Shield initiative. It is aimed at the general public, businesses and public-sector bodies across the EU.
The service offers several resolver options including malware protection, ad blocking and child-protection filtering, with infrastructure operated within the EU and data handled under EU rules. As an EU-based, EU-funded resolver, DNS4EU is a sovereign European alternative to Google Public DNS and Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1.
