A non-profit, community-led Git hosting platform for free and open-source projects, based in Germany.

Codeberg is a Git hosting service operated by Codeberg e.V., a non-profit association based in Berlin, Germany. It provides hosting for free and open-source software projects and is funded by donations and memberships rather than by selling user data.

Built on the open-source Forgejo software, Codeberg offers Git repositories, issue tracking, pull requests, Codeberg Pages static hosting and Woodpecker CI, with a strict no-tracking, no-third-party-cookie policy. As a German non-profit running fully on open-source software and EU infrastructure, Codeberg is a strong European alternative to GitHub.
