Anytype is a notes and personal knowledge app built by the Any Association, a Swiss non-profit, with its development team operating through a Berlin GmbH. It is aimed at people who want an offline-capable, privacy-first space for notes, documents and structured knowledge.
It is local-first and end-to-end encrypted, with linked objects, customisable types and relations, a graph view and peer-to-peer sync, and its code is open source. As a Swiss/EU project with no reliance on a US cloud, Anytype is a privacy-focused European alternative to Notion and Evernote.
